He started his career with one of the country’s top television networks as a producer for two of its primetime newscasts, his work together with other broadcast journalists from the network during the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda, was recognized with the George Foster Peabody Award, often regarded as the most prestigious recognition in the field of electronic journalism.

He first forayed into the field of public relations in 2014 and strives to learn the intricate art of weaving stories for local and international brands since then. He is currently the Editorial Director of Grupo Agatep and a full-time political spectator.

Grupo Agatep’s Norman Agatep joined members of the Federation of Advertising Organizations (FAO) to discuss the topic of Brand Storytelling in On-Ground Advertising during the organization’s session titled, “Breakthrough: Turning Ides Into Reality.”

The FAO is a coalition of students of advertising and allied courses from various colleges and universities in the Philippines, and is the youth arm of the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA). The session was one of several activities designed by the PANA to equip FAO members with the proper knowledge and skills to get them ready to work for the country’s advertising industry.

Agatep shared his insights and best practices, accompanied by global case studies, showcasing how strategic on-ground advertising can contribute to successful brand storytelling.

The event was held at the National Engineering Center AVR in UP Diliman last February 11, 2017.
